The two plaques on the left were erected by the Centro Studi e Documentazione Isola di Ustica (Centre for Studies and Documentation - Island of Ustica) in 2022. The Arabic and Italian texts read: "Cemetery of the Arabs".

The plaque reads: "To the Libyan victims of deportation to Ustica".

The plaque reads: '‘132 Arab prisoners were buried in this cemetery between 29 October 1911 and 9 June 1912. Ustica 31st January 1913". The plaque was decorated with the star and the crescent, to recall Islamic religious symbols.
The Falconiera fort
A defensive fortress built in the Bourbonic period that was used to detain Libyan deportees between 1911 and 1912.
Former camerone, Piazza Umberto I
The building at the centre, now a restaurant, was a camerone (dormitory) used to detain Libyan deportees (among other prisoners).
